BANDUNG, itb.ac.id—School of Business and Management Institut Teknologi Bandung (SBM ITB) has officially ratified the strategic partnership scheme with Coventry University from the UK. The ratification marked ITB’s initial collaboration with Coventry University.
“I felt joyous with this partnership,” expressed Professor Richard Dashwood, Coventry University’s representative, after the scheme’s ratification at ITB, Bandung, November 28, 2022. “I believe we can change the world with this great collaboration.”
The Task Executive of the School of Business and Management ITB Academic Vice Dean, Professor Tjandra Anggraeni, Ph.D., stated that the collaboration would move toward a more comprehensive partnership scheme. The collaboration’s scope will involve interfaculty/interschool.
“We have had a discussion with the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (FCEE) regarding this collaboration and invited them to participate,” stated Prof Tjandra. According to Tjandra, collaboration with FCEE will lead to developing environmental, social, and good governance (ESG) business practices. Other faculties/schools, such as the Faculty of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, can also feel the benefits of the SBM ITB-Coventry University Collaboration.
The advantages of this collaboration are not mere student exchanges. There are various other aspects, such as studies, developmental research, student scholarships, and many more.
“We have discussed how to expand this joint scheme between ITB and Coventry University, especially revolving around sustainable transportation, autonomous transportation, and electrical transportation,” explained Richard Dashwood. “We hope this partnership will develop not only in the context of business school, but also other sectors.”
Yuliani Dwi Lestari, the Head of Doctorate Degree in Management Science, SBM ITB, remarked that in the near future, two SBM ITB doctorate students will depart for Coventry University to study a year-long Dual Degree program.
“With the initial collaboration of the two business schools, I am confident that we will have a strong, long-term collaboration as well,” added Richard.
SBM ITB also hopes the scheme will develop towards future global expansion, including holistic progress for industry, research, and university, which begins with realized educational collaboration.
