Showcasing Research Results through ITB Research Convention

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - The ITB Research Convention has officially opened by the Vice Rector of Research and Innovation, Dr. Wawan Gunawan A. Kadir, MS in campus East Hall. As many as 225 researches were showcased in the two-days event.
"This convention was conducted to showcase and publicize all the researches done by our students and professors. This is our gratitude and appreciation to all the researchers for their hard work in their respective field of expertise," Wawan stated in his opening speech.
Other forms of research socializations include publicizing the researches to local governments and also industrial visits aligned with the respective research fields.
The 225 researches were divided according to their respective scientific groups and international researches. The researches showcased were the works of professors and students of under-graduate, post-graduate, and doctorate degree. They were present at the convention so visitors can freely ask and discuss their researches.
Quality and Quantity Improvement
The fund allocated for researches is approximately 90 billion rupiah for private researches that don't involve industries, while those that involve industries were granted 300 billion rupiah per year.
"This time, ITB will focus on improving the quality and quantity of our researches. We also hope that the fund that we can allocate to research grants gets bigger so that more life-quality improving researches can be done," Wawan said to close the event.
