The meetings and discussions organized by ITB Alumni Association (IA-ITB) in Western Australia and the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) also invited the Indonesian citizens of Perth. The students gave a presentation about the activities of their Integrated Business Experience (IBE) and the products they have made. The citizens who attended the meeting admitted that they were impressed with the SBM students' performance. "I even thought they were fresh graduates," General Manager of Garuda Indonesia in Perth said.
At the next meeting with professors and students of the Business School of the University of Western Australia (UWA), ITB's students also got admired by the hosts. According to a professor, they were awesome, creative, and enthusiastic. The meeting generated a discussion that resulted in the exchange of ideas. The discussion was very diverse, starting from business issues, the impact of globalization on culture, and also the case of the Freeport mine and its environmental impact - considering mining is the main contribution of Western Australia.
The visit was concluded with an event hosted by the Australia Indonesia Business Council (ICBA) which led the students to directly interact in businesses such as KPMG, Woodside, up to the Perth City Council. The vice chairman of ICBA found that the 10 representatives of SBM ITB were not just students but also businessmen. The visit was one of the three trips organized by Cross-Cultural and Conflict Management course. Earlier, the two other trips to Singapore and Thailand were also successful.
