BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - ITB held a talk show entitled "Back to the ITB Campus" on Monday, 27 September 2021 at Boulevard ITB and broadcast live through ITB's Youtube channel. This event invited the entire ITB academic community and several guests, including student representatives who live in the city of Bandung.
The guests listened directly to the speakers' information, including Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, PhD (Rector of ITB), Prof.Dr.-Ing. Ir. Widjaja Martokusumo (Institute Secretary), and Prof. Dr. Ir. Jaka Sembiring, M. Eng. (Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs).
In response to the update of Covid-19 and its relation to the new regulation regarding permission to carry out Face-to-face Learning (PTM), ITB gradually wants to reopen campus access soon. The plan is not just a discourse because students can now access some facilities on a limited basis, such as the Ganesha Sports Facility (Saraga) and an on-campus library that is opened with a queue system.
The main focus of implementing this PTM is that ITB wants to fight for ITB's academic conditions, which were hampered by online conditions. Of course, the enjoyment of face-to-face learning is desired by students and lecturers who miss the classroom atmosphere.
On the other hand, the pandemic condition in Bandung has tended to be under control in the past week. This certainly can increase ITB's optimism in organizing offline activities with the applicable rules. Vaccination is the main requirement that must be fulfilled by the entire ITB community, including ITB. To provide convenience and security guarantees, ITB will also participate in helping students who are still having difficulty obtaining vaccines.
"We protect the ITB community by cultivating new activities. Essential activities may be carried out with certain limitations. The basis is care. We learn by doing. If it's wrong, it should be corrected immediately." said Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph. D.
Prof. Widjaja, Secretary of ITB, also reminded all students to always pay attention to all the latest information through circulars or directives issued by the centre to better prepare for this good news.
ITB gradually turned on the green light one by one to invite students back to campus. It is proven that in the central area of ??ITB, a giant billboard with the words We Also Miss You is a form of ITB's welcome to students shortly.
