Carrying the topic of "Advancing the Life Through the Mathematics", 5th Symposium on Biomathemathics has a very diverse scope discussion i.e. the bioinformatics and  bio-system, bio-engineering and synthetic biology, infectious disease transmission dynamics, dynamics of renewable resources, bio-statistics for infectious disease control. To discuss these topics, the symposium was divided into plenary and parallel session session. There are 9 speakers fill the plenary session and there are 58 session in parallel session. Paper presented at this symposium will be published in several journals indexed Scopus as the American Institute of Physics (AIP) Conference Proceedings Series, the Journal of Mathematics and Fundamental Sciences, and Journal of Communication in Bio-mathematical Sciences.

The core of bio-mathics recently is to use mathematics as a tool in biological applications. For example, in the field of epidemic, the math used to do modeling the spread of a disease. This modeling will result in a spatial and temporal models. On the temporal modeling, data distribution in the case matched the meteorological so it can be retrieved and time trends can be used to predict the spread of the disease in the future. On spatial modelling, experts recently dealing with uniqueness and non-negativity of the solution against a SIR-type diffusive models. In other areas, for example in the fields of pharmaceuticals, recently used to determine the required drug dose appropriately. With the mathematical modeling, experimental phase can be minimized thus saving time and cost, is also pressing the risk of failure of the test.
