ITB Rector Receives Honorary Fellowship from the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations

The Rector of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., IPU, ASEAN Eng., received the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (AFEO) Honorary Fellow distinction during the 44th Conference of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (CAFEO 44), held at the Pullman Bandung International Convention Centre in Bandung on Thursday (October 22, 2026).

The AFEO Honorary Fellow is an honorary distinction awarded to individuals who have demonstrated significant contributions, dedication, and leadership in advancing science, technology, and engineering practice. The distinction recognizes recipients’ commitment to supporting development and delivering benefits to society at both the national and ASEAN regional levels.

The AFEO Honorary Fellow distinction awarded to Prof. Tata recognizes his contributions to academia and the engineering profession. As Rector of ITB, Prof. Tata leads one of Indonesia’s leading technological universities, which plays an important role in advancing education, research, innovation, and collaboration with various stakeholders.
