274 ITB Lecturers and Staff Received Satyalancana Karya Satya and Service Awards on 79th Indonesian Independence Day

JATINANGOR, itb.ac.id – In commemoration of Indonesia's 79th Independence Day, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) held a flag-raising ceremony at the Football Field, ITB Jatinangor Campus. The ceremony was attended by ITB's new students for the Academic Year 2024/2025, lecturers and administrative staffs, along with ITB Rector, Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D., serving as the ceremony's leader on Saturday (17/8/2024).
During the ceremony, the Rector presented awards to 274 lecturers and staff, comprising 152 recipients of the Satyalancana Karya Satya award and 122 recipients of the ITB Service Award. These honors were given as a form of appreciation and recognition for their dedication and service over periods of 40 years, 35 years, 30 years, 25 years, 20 years, and 10 years.
"May God Almighty and Most Gracious bestow His blessings upon us so that we may continue to work, trust, and support each other to enhance our competence and character for the betterment of the nation, the country, and humanity," said Prof. Reini.
Among the award recipients were Ivonne Milichristi Radjawane, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., Dadang Miftah, S.Sos., Dr. Dwinita Larasati, S.Sn., M.A., Deimahmud, S.T., Galuh Lingga, A.Md., Dr. techn. Muhammad Zuhri Catur Candra, S.T., M.T., Prof. Ir. Indratmo, M.Sc., Ph.D., Prof. Enny Ratnaningsih, Ph.D., Dr. Ir. Denny Zulkaidi, MUP., Tugino, S.Sos., Dr. Nurdian Ichsan, M.Sn., and Lilik Sulistiyanti, S.A.P.
Ramadhani Eka Putra, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., one of the recipients of the 10-year Satyalancana Karya Satya award, expressed his pride in having his dedication and service recognized by the nation. He stated that he is motivated to ensure that future generations do not face the same challenges he encountered. For this reason, this lecturer from the School of Life Sciences and Technology faced the greatest challenge in his career, which is maintaining consistency in his path.
"Maintaining that consistency requires extraordinary effort. Although mistakes are often made, what matters most is how we return to the right path and strive to do better," he said.
He added that he wants to be part of the effort to ensure that future generations enjoy better conditions. "Even small contributions can help make Indonesia better," he concluded.
