ITB Contribute 111 Pharmacists to Pharmacy Industry in Indonesia

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – ITB inducted 111 pharmacists with oath taking and inauguration ceremony at School of Pharmacy on Thursday (16/03/17). The inauguration at Aula Barat ITB passed after oath taking ceremony led by Daryono Hadi Tjahjono, Prof., Dr., Apt., the Dean of School of Pharmacy. The inauguration was attended not only by prospective pharmacists and Pharmacy academicians but also by representatives of companies that presented the awards.

This year’s pharmacist test is different from the previous with the addition of Indonesian Pharmacist Competency Test (UKAI). UKAI is a nationally standardized examination to equalize pharmacists’ competence in Indonesia. Prospective pharmacists have to pass the UKAI before taking the oath. Fortunately, UKAI participants from ITB passed with 100% pass rate and the highest average score among other universities’.



As a regular agenda, award ceremony for remarkable students was also held that time. For this January 2016-2017 academic year, the awardees were announced by Dr. Kusnandar Anggadiredja, Apt., the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of School of Pharmacy. Yulia Lie Vanda S.Farm, Apt. achieved the Dexa Award and Most Outstanding Student with 4.0 GPA in Pharmacy Industry specialization. In Pharmacy Service specialization, Muhammad Reza S.Farm, Apt. achieved Most Outstanding Student with 3.93 GPA and Paragon Award. Moreover, Ujang Purnama S.Farm, Apt.—the winner of Ganesha Prize 2015—won the Novell Award for his achievement in scoring the highest in the first semester of pharmacists exam. Also during this inauguration was memento exchange for the students of School of Pharmacy represented by Puji Hatmoko, S.Farm, Apt.
