2nd ITB’s Graduate School Conference, a Research Publication Platform for Graduate Students

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – 2nd ITB’s Graduate School Conference or what is more commonly known as i-GSC 2022 was held virtually on 21 July 2022. The goal of i-GSC which was proposed by the Graduate School ITB and the Institute for Research and Community Service (IRCS) ITB is to facilitate post-graduate ITB students in presenting and publishing their research. However, i-GSC is also open to non-ITB participants, both domestic and international.

Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jaka Sembiring, M.Eng, was pleased to deliver his reception and opening remarks for the i-GSC 2022 event. This international conference which was themed “Strengthening Multidisciplinary Research to Enhance Its Impacts on Society” managed to attract 60 domestic and international participants. There are 32 live presentations, the rest are either poster presentations or video presentations.

Some speakers that also delivered their remarks are Dr. Osamu Kozan, Associate Professor of Center of Southeast Asian Studies from Kyoto University, Dr. Sastia Putri, Associate Professor of Graduate School of Engineering from Osaka University, and Professor Delik Hudalah, from the School of Architecture, Planning, and Policy Development, Institut Teknologi Bandung.

At the end of the conference, the Dean of Graduate School, Prof. Dr. Suprijadi, M. Eng., accompanied by the Secretary for Research IRCS, Dr. Rino Rakhmata Mukti, announced the name of the participants that have won an award from each three categories:

Most Likes Poster: Akmalia (Faculty of Arts and Design)
Best Poster: Ida Ayu Ketut Andriyogi Pradnyaswari (Faculty of Arts and Design)
Best Video Presentation: Akmal Reza Ahkam (Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering)
Best Video Presentation: Ozi Jumadila (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science)
Best Presenter: Jessica Lovia Budianto (Faculty of Arts and Design), A Putra Perdana (School of Architecture, Planning, and Policy Development), Shiella Angelina (School of Business and Management), and Sabita Amani (School of Architecture, Planning, and Policy Development)

I-GSC itself is planned to be held two times annually. The research articles that were presented had gone through a strict selection process before being published and included in the proceedings. Do not miss the next i-GSC which will be held in December 2022.
