50 Years of ITB: Open House and IPTEKS Innovation Exhibition

"Hopefully, students, teachers, or parents who attend the Open House events can imagine the education in ITB. Also, as a means of socialization, how to enroll to become ITB students," said Setiawan Sabana, the Chairman of this event. At the Open House will also hold a workshop for teachers in West Java by taking the theme of "Transformation Attitude Model, Character, and Intelectuality from Student to college Student."
IPTEKS Innovation exhibition will take place mostly in the area of ITB Campus Center. The exhibition that is divided
into particular zones will facilitate visitors to interact with the stands near by. The Zone such as Energy (oil and gas and many alternative energy), Biotechnology, Management of Natural Resources and Environment, Information Technology, Infrastructure and Regional Development, Creative Industries, automotive engines, and Art and Design.
Creative industries will be placed in the West Campus Center (CC). Nation Crafts which is done by alumnee of FSRD ITB will showed export craft products in one of the stand in the West CC. In the same zone will also showed technology of music instrument by STSI Bandung. STSI will display the electronic wastes that has added with values
so that the the instrument will produces such a unique melody, such as the harp sound. "In my opinion, the work of STSI is interesting because to show the arts it needs the blend of imagination, skills and technology," Setiawan said when asked about the interesting zone of the Creative Industries.
At this exhibition will also be shown products that directly demonstrated in place. Indowater LAPI Water Cars which changes the dirty water into clean water and the baloon wind turbine will be demonstrating its products in front of visitors.
Working with Metro TV as a media partner, It is hoped the 50 Years of ITB Celebration can guide the future of the nation to realize the nation's competitiveness through technological superiority. "Hopefully will merry. The public and other campuses will come so that this opportunity can be such a window to see each other and expected to have deals about research so that it will be responed by other stakeholders," Setiawan said closing the interview with ITB News Office.
