The event begins with a welcoming speech from ITB Rector , Prof. . Dr. . Akhmaloka followed by remarks from Djoko Santoso . Then continued with the submission of the President Letter to the Bidik Misi Scholar . In his letter , the President congratulates all scholars. " Many young people are not able to continue their study up to universities in Indonesia, you could get the most benefit from this scholarship and achievement . I hope students can join to  fight reducing poverty , underdevelopment and backwardness , " citing the letter . Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono also hoped that the students were also could changed history . " Pay and redeem what the state gives to you all , " he concluded .

Previously , Forum Bidik Misi Nasional was held on Wednesday through Friday ( 26-28/02/14 ) . Related to the upcoming national elections and the possibility of change of ministry , Bidik Misi Scholarship is now regulated by UU No 12 Tahun 2012 on Higher Education. Bidik Misi Scholarship Program is planned to continue to run according to the rules that have been done . It was also announced that the undergraduate Bidik Misi Scholar who want to continue their education after graduation to postgraduate study , there are Indonesian Scholarship , Scholarship and Presidential Scholarship .

Then , the event continued with a dialogue between the Director General of Higher Education Kemendikbud with the scholars . Djoko also submit the book " Kebangkitan Kaum Dhuafa " (The Rise of Duafa) by Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture to Bidik Misi Scholars symbolically . In this book M. Nuh as Indonesia Minister of Education and Culture  expressed his hope will be a scholarship Shutter Mission which has sparked new hope for Indonesia . This scholarship is expected to be a means of awakening the poor in five to ten years into the future .
