Career Management Training : Unleash Your Potential

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - Department of Career Development of ITB Alumni Union carried out Career Management Training (CMT) Part I at Learning Center Building, Kampus Telkom, Bandung, On Friday (8/8) to Saturday (9/8). The event which executed in two days is aimed to give all ITB young collegiate some knowledge required to enter the job market.

Abah Rama Royani, Lead Pro Management Consultant, who attended as first speaker submits how to dig and develop self potency and strength. Abah Rama define strength as each activity which could make we feel to gain more power. The strength can come up in form of strong desire to do so, ability do a thing easily till we don't feel the existence of time, nor the existence of licking lips having taken steps a matter. While weakness is the activity that make we feel progressively weaken, with marking as distinct from strength respectively.


Abah Rama create 114 activity cluster divided in sequences of STRENGTH. This is stand for Servicing Technical Reasoning, Elementary, Networking, Generating Idea, Thinking, and Headman. Participants fill "Strength Cluster", which has been provided, to see what is to be in fact strength and weakness lay upon them. From stuffing "Strength Cluster", we can conclude what is our real type. Do are we including leader, organizer, thinker, or creator?
Abah Rama notice, in organization, we need to create an environment so that there's only four kinds of backtalk related to our self, that is hitting our strength, how do strength help our organization, concerning our weakness, and how do we can assist our surrounding to overcome shared weakness.


The next issue is dealing with the technique to make effective resume and curriculum vitae which presented by Vice President Organizational Development PT. Telkom Djaka Sundan. CV or resume is either required for job seeker to get interview session. In writing CV or resume we had to be honest in writing, give the positive information, use good structures, and present information clearly. According to Djaka, the forbidden thing in writing CV is put weight and height, reason of leaving previous work, salary information, and "resume" title.
CMT part I will be continued with Career Day in October come. Expected ITB young collegiate could get enough knowledge so that they can easily obtain the ideal work.
