Celebrating National Transportation Day 2023: ITB Graciously Receives the Partnership Appreciation Award from the Ministry of Transportation

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - On Friday (29/9/2023), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) was honored with a partnership award from the Republic of Indonesia Ministry of Transportation in the context of National Transportation Day 2023.
During the same event, Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi, emphasized that the government aimed to convey the collaborative work of various Ministry of Transportation partnerships over almost a decade through this activity. "Through good collaboration between stakeholders in the transportation sector, we want to build a new culture through mass transportation," he stated (according to the official website of the Ministry of Transportation).
As a form of appreciation for figures who have built connectivity between regions through transportation, the Ministry of Transportation presented awards to previous Ministers of Transportation, including Agum Gumelar, Emil Salim, Jusman Syafii Djamal, Hatta Rajasa, Evert Erenst Mangindaan, Freddy Numberi, and Ignasius Jonan. Additionally, the Ministry of Transportation bestowed partnership awards upon several universities in Indonesia, namely Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Universitas Indonesia (UI), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), and Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS).
This award signifies the hope that ITB will play an increasingly influential role in shaping Indonesia's future transportation industry. The university is expected to achieve this by producing high-quality professionals, conducting innovative research, and providing essential policy guidance to advance the transportation system globally.
