BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – ITB FEST (Faculty of Earth Science and Technology) organized an exhibition showing their first-year students’ work from the Introduction to Engineering and Design course on Saturday (3/6/2023) at the West Hall of ITB.

The exhibition aims to provide a platform for students to express their creativity while showing their solution to environmental problems through engineering and design. Moreover, the event displays the ideas and innovations of these students, each with a different approach to solving the matter, ranging from eco-friendly building design to technology in waste management.

Visitors can view a wide variety of prototypes and presentations, showing students’ efforts in creating innovative and sustainable solutions.

At the end of the exhibition, the judges consisting of lecturers and professionals in the field of engineering and design evaluated the displayed projects. This evaluation is based on the voting of visitors and the functionality of their prototypes, and the results will be the basis for awarding the best innovation.

The exhibition coordinator, Dr. Edi Riawan, S.Si., M.T., said that the students of the Engineering and Design course initially did not have a deep understanding of programming and coding. However, this exhibition pushes them to create their own applications to support their work, demonstrating their adaptability and skills in the field.

This exhibition is hoped to encourage more students to develop their skills in engineering and design as well as encourage them to contribute to coming up with innovative solutions for a better future.
