BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and Perumnas have formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on technology utilization and providing housing for the ITB academic community. The signing ceremony took place on Wednesday (22/11/2023) at Meeting Room A, Rectorate Building, located on Tamansari Street, Bandung.

The MoU was signed by ITB’s Vice-Rector for Resources, Dr.Ir. Gusti Ayu Putri Saptawati Soekidjo, and the Marketing Director of Perum Perumnas, Imelda Alini Pohan, S.Sos.

This collaboration not only aims to uphold the principles of high education’s Tri Dharma values in education but also research and community service.

ITB is also committed to creating quality human resources through educational initiatives and technological advancements. Furthermore, through this collaboration with Perum Perumnas, technology utilization will help in facilitating archiving management, land inventory, and the development of land information systems.

ITB’s Vice-Rector for Resources, Dr.Ir. Gusti Ayu Putri Saptawati Soekidjo expressed her optimism regarding the collaboration. She mentioned that there are plenty of future possibilities coming from this collaboration.

“There are quite significant opportunities for collaboration with Perumnas. Currently, there is a limited program focused on housing for the academic community. Hopefully, through our aligned vision, we can give the best for our scholars,” she claimed.

Aligning with its Long Term Strategy and Development Master Plan (RENIP) striving for World Class University (WCU) status, ITB is actively expanding its multi-campus presence which is now located in ITB Ganesha Campus, ITB Jatinangor Campus, and ITB Cirebon Campus.

Apart from academic activities, Dr. Gusti Ayu Putri emphasized the need for infrastructural development across the multi-campuses. This includes housing for both lecturers and students. “We can also develop this aspect further, for example at ITB Cirebon Campus, there is ample land available. Thus, presenting potential collaboration opportunities for housing initiatives,” she noted.

Marketing Director of Perumnas, Imelda Alini Pohan, S.Sos., expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration. She highlighted that one of the collaborations between both parties can be done through the utilization of technology for Perumnas database.

Perumnas also offers numerous opportunities to contribute in providing residential solutions, especially for the ITB academic community.
“This MoU symbolizes our partnership status, where there are rooms for future exploration,” she stated.

In the future, Perumnas plans to develop housing solutions integrated with transportation facilities prioritizing the community needs across strategic areas within the ITB academic vicinity.

“We also offer convenience to our academic community, especially to those who are first-time homeowners subjected to certain conditions. This collaboration marks a good start and sets the stage for future collaboration,” she concluded.
