The 106th PTTI commemoration served as a moment of reflection on the long journey of engineering higher education in Indonesia, beginning with the establishment of Technische Hoogeschool te Bandoeng on July 3, 1920. More than a century later, ITB continues to affirm its role as an engineering higher education institution that contributes to the development of science, technology, arts, innovation, and community service. This year, the awards were presented in two categories: Ganesa Widya Jasa Adiutama, with 11 recipients, and Ganesa Wirya Jasa Adiutama, with 9 recipients.

ITB Vice Rector for Communications, Partnerships, Alumni, and Administration, Dr. A. Rikrik Kusmara, S.Sn., M.Sn., in his introduction to the award presentation, expressed appreciation to all award recipients.

“Hopefully, this award conferment can further encourage the advancement of Engineering Higher Education and motivate all of us to achieve more accomplishments, thereby increasing our contribution to Engineering Higher Education in Indonesia,” he said.

On the occasion, ITB also welcomed two international award recipients, namely Professor Zhang Baohua from Tsinghua University and Professor Nicholas Rawlinson from the University of Cambridge. The presence of these international award recipients reflects the breadth of ITB’s collaborative network in advancing science, arts, technology, and strategic research.

List of Award Recipients

Ganesa Widya Jasa Adiutama Award
Ganesa Widya Jasa Adiutama is ITB’s highest award, presented to parties, whether individuals or institutions, who have demonstrated outstanding service and/or achievements in the development of science, technology, and arts at the international, national, and/or ITB level.

1. Dr. Ardhasena Sopaheluwakan
The award was presented in recognition of his contribution to strengthening strategic collaboration between BMKG and ITB’s Faculty of Earth Sciences and Technology (FITB) in the fields of climatology, meteorology, national climate services, postgraduate education, and research in earth and atmospheric sciences.

2. Professor Zhang Baohua

Professor Zhang Baohua from Tsinghua University contributed to strengthening collaboration with ITB’s Faculty of Art and Design (FSRD), particularly in textile art, fashion design, student exchange, guest lectures, joint exhibitions, and collaborations in art, technology, and culture.

3. Ir. Triharyo Indrawan Soesilo, MSChE, I.P.U.
As an alumnus of ITB Chemical Engineering, he has contributed to the development of industrial engineering, energy, national technological independence, and has served as a bridge between ITB, industry, and the national energy transition agenda.

4. Professor Nicholas Rawlinson
Professor Nicholas Rawlinson from the University of Cambridge received the award for his contribution to developing international research collaboration with ITB in geophysics, seismic hazards, earthquake mitigation, scientific publications, and strengthening seismic research capacity in Indonesia.

5. Ir. Ignesjz Kemalawarta, M.B.A.
As an alumnus of ITB Architecture and Chairperson of Green Building Council Indonesia, he has contributed to the development of architectural practice, green property, sustainable buildings, and the strengthening of the relationship between theory and practice in architectural education.

6. Dr. Suhendra Yusuf Ratuprawiranegara, S.T., M.I.Kom.
Dr. Suhendra Yusuf Ratuprawiranegara has played a role in the transformation of Pelindo Group, the strengthening of national maritime logistics, port digitalization, and research and strategic studies collaborations involving ITB, BRIN, PT DAHANA, and PT Timah.

7. Dra. apt. Anita Ekajanti, M.M., M.B.A.
As an alumna of ITB School of Pharmacy and a professional in the pharmaceutical industry, she has contributed to pharmaceutical product development, quality systems, regulation, industrial innovation, and teaching in ITB’s Master’s Program in Pharmacy.

8. Muhammad Agung Saputra, S.Si., M.Sc., DIC
The Founder and CEO of Surplus Indonesia received the award for his contribution to delivering technological innovation to reduce food waste and food loss, promote the circular economy, and open learning opportunities, internships, and employment pathways for students and alumni of ITB’s School of Life Sciences and Technology (SITH).

9. Prof. Bayu Jaya Wardhana, S.T., M.Eng., DIC, Ph.D.

As Professor in Mechatronics and Control of Nonlinear Systems at the University of Groningen, Prof. Bayu has contributed to international research development in control systems, robotics, mechatronics, renewable energy, and global academic networks that bring recognition to ITB.

10. Prof. Benny Tjahjono, Ph.D.
Prof. Benny Tjahjono from Coventry University received the award for his contribution to research and academic collaboration with ITB in circular economy, supply chain management, energy transition, electric vehicles, rare earth minerals, and the Dual-Award PhD program.

11. Tri Mumpuni
Tri Mumpuni, Founder and Chairperson of IBEKA Foundation, received the award for her work in developing community-based renewable energy, particularly microhydropower, village economic empowerment, expanded access to clean energy, and sustainable development.

Ganesa Wirya Jasa Adiutama Award

Ganesa Wirya Jasa Adiutama is awarded to parties who have demonstrated service or achievement in supporting the development of ITB as an institution. Recipients may come from work units, the academic community, non-lecturer staff, or external parties, whether institutions or individuals.

1. Ir. Simon Aloysius Mantiri, S.T., M.B.A.

The President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) received the award for his support of Pertamina’s collaboration with SPITM ITB, particularly in micro-credential programs, professional training, applied research, energy transition, and marine technology.

2. Kebumen Regency Government
The award was presented in recognition of its support for education, research, and community service activities of FITB ITB, particularly through the use of the Kebumen UGGp area as a field learning space, geological research site, geoconservation area, and platform for international collaboration.

3. Destry Damayanti, S.E., M.Sc.
The Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia has contributed to the development of the national creative economy, the empowerment of MSMEs based on design and crafts, as well as support for ITB Art Market 2025 and future FSRD ITB programs.

4. Dr. Safitri Siswono, S.T., M.M.

As Chair of the ITB Industrial Engineering Alumni Association for the 2023–2027 period, she has contributed to fundraising for the IATI ITB Lestari Scholarship, student soft skills development, support for student activities, and the renovation of the landscape around ITB’s Labtek III Building.

5. Dr. Ir. Danis Hidayat Sumadilaga, M.Eng.Sc.
He received the award for his contribution to strengthening ITB’s relationship with the Ministry of Public Works and Housing and the Nusantara Capital Authority, including support for the revitalization of the PAU Building, Sunken Court, Saraga, and collaboration related to the development of IKN and sustainable cities.

6. Hadi Ismoyo, S.T.
This ITB Petroleum Engineering alumnus has contributed to curriculum development, alumni network strengthening, improvement of academic facilities, and synergy between industry and ITB’s Petroleum Engineering Study Program.

7. Muhammad Shabran Fauzani, S.E., M.App.Fin., CRP.
As President Director of PT Pertamina Training & Consulting, he has supported collaboration with SBM ITB through strategic internship programs, consulting projects, provision of corporate case studies, research data, and the involvement of industry experts in academic activities.

8. Prof. Dr. Dra. Maryani Cyccu Tobing, M.S.
The Professor at Universitas Sumatera Utara and alumna of ITB Biology received the award for her funding and program support for the development of SITH ITB, facility improvement, and the strengthening of the academic and life sciences research atmosphere.

9. Dr. Ir. Suroso Isnandar, S.T., M.Sc., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng., QRGP
As Director of Project Management and New and Renewable Energy at PT PLN (Persero), he has contributed to strengthening the partnership between ITB and PLN in education, research, energy transition, field lectures, practical work, internships, data access, testing facilities, and the internationalization of STEI ITB.
