ITB InMove Innovators Expo Bridging Innovations and People

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - Technology is always eager for innovations and creations. ITB through its one of innovation platform, ITB InMove 2015, facilitated the students to show up their ideas and creations in the event of Innovators Expo on Saturday (31/10/15) at SBM ITB Building. There were 10 best innovations showed off that day. The event was started at 10 a.m. and open for public.

The 10 best innovations were GPR for SAR, Pilaput, Starteromics, Wudu Water Storage, Becarin, Digital Fringe Face Reconstruction (DFFR), Kamanna, Integrated Tuberculosis App (iTB), Biopass, dan Find Your Doctor. The implementation of these innovations was various; some are tools, some are application based on user interface, and the others are programwith electronic devices such as camera. The implementation by tools was done by Biopass. Biopass is the tool to detect the finger print of internet users, such as banking account and social media users as the way to log in without using password. The application based on user interface was done by Kamanna, iTB, Pilaput, and Find Your Doctor. Kamanna, as an example, is the interactive application which provides information about restaurant, tourism, and events held by communities like concert for the users. Besides, there was DFFR, the program to censor the face and the other body parts then reconstruct them as three dimensional figures which is useful for medical use.

Besides the public session, there was also the exclusive session only for special guests: Innovators Pitching Session. In this session, the innovators got time to present their innovations to the collaborators. The collaborators were form many stakeholders such as industry, entrepreneur, media, government, academician, and community. The collaborators got chance to ask more about the innovations.

The committees of ITB InMove Innovators Expo has purposes no only to show off the innovations to the public, but also to held the interaction between people and innovations so people can give suggestion and critics to improve the quality of the innovations. The event was expected to give spaces for the public's contribution for the innovations. The contribution could be in form of knowledge, media publication, and investment to develop the innovations.
