ITB Jatifest 2023: Community Service Exhibition, Showcasing ITB’s Care for the Local Community

JATINANGOR, itb.ac.id – Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) successfully hosted the Jatinangor Festival (Jatifest) 2023 on Saturday (2/9/2023). This event aimed to introduce ITB Jatinangor Campus to the entire ITB academic community as part of welcoming the new undergraduate students 2023.
Starting this year, all new undergraduate students will start their classes at ITB Jatinangor Campus. This event also served as a closing of the freshman orientation program (PMB) for the ITB academic year 2023/2024.
The theme of ITB Jatifest 2023, ‘Green Culture for a Better Future’, enhances the academic community’s perspective by focusing on personal growth, environmental conservation, and readiness for upcoming challenges. Consequently, the event emphasized sustainability in all its activities.
Aligned with the theme, Jatifest ITB 2023 featured an exhibition on community service that was held in University Common Buildings (GKU) 3, ITB Jatinangor Campus. All of the student activities that correlate with community service were presented in this exhibition, totaling 45 stands, including:

5. Community Service by Nature Loving Student Club (KMPA)

8. Faculty of Industrial Technology First Year Program
9. Community Service by Banyumas Student Association
10. Independent Community Service (Green Building Mosque)

The community service exhibition was a lively and bustling event, shown by the crowds that filled GKU 3 and their enthusiastic engagement with the presentations at each booth. “The booth activities were incredibly enjoyable; many people stopped by and showed interest in our community service which focuses on empowering the community through learning about mocaf flour production. Other booths seemed very lively and fun as well.” said Afina Naufal Nur Islami, one of the organizers of the Microbiology Student Association booth.
Through this community service exhibition, ITB commits to further enhance its excellence not only in teaching and research but also in community service, thereby upholding the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
