ITB Rector Achieves the P2WKSS Award in the Gender Champions Category of Economic Sector from the West Java Provincial Government.
BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - The Rector of Institut Teknologi Bandung, Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D., has been awarded for Increasing the Role of Women towards Healthy and Prosperous Families Program (P2WKSS) by the West Java Provincial Government.
This award was presented in commemoration of the 95th National Mother's Day in December 2023. It's worth noting that Prof. Reini received the gender champion category award in the economic sector.
The Governor of West Java, Bey Triadi Machmudin, S.E., M.T., represented by the Head of DP3AKB West Java Province, Dr. Siska Gerfianti, M.H.Kes., Sp.DLP., presented the award to ITB Rector on Friday (5/4/2024) in the VIP Room of ITB Rectorate Building, Jalan Tamansari, Bandung.
Bey stated that the essence of celebrating Mother's Day in Indonesia is not only to appreciate the great services of mothers but also to acknowledge all Indonesian women for their roles, dedication, and contributions to the family, community, nation, and country.
"It is hoped that by celebrating Mother's Day every year, it can serve as a leverage to encourage all stakeholders and the community to pay attention and recognize the importance of women's existence in various development sectors," he said, as quoted from the West Java Provincial Government's official website.
With this award, it is hoped that positive changes can be brought to the role of women in the economic and educational fields, particularly in helping to build a more advanced and prosperous nation.
