ITB Students Achieved Third Rank for Paper Competition at ITS Expo 2014

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - ITB Student won the third championship on the Mat ITS Expo Paper Competition (IEPC) in 2014 with the main theme of the ASEAN Economic Community 2015: Industrial Development Strategy of Indonesian Natural Resources Management in the face of ASEAN Free Trade 2015. Titled works scientific "Dye sensitized Solar Cell Fabrication Using a Natural Dye Alternative Ruthenium Dye", Nathaniel Chandra Harjanto (Physics Engineering 2010), Robet Frances MA (Physics Engineering 2010), and Zalman Fariz (Physics Engineering 2010) beat out 150 other teams participating in this competition.
IEPC 2014 is divided into three main stages, the selection of abstract, paper selection and the grand final. Under the guidance of Brian Yuliarto, Ph.D. and Muhammad Artono, ST, as ITB lecturer at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, Physics Engineering ITB team chose the sub-theme "Utilization of Natural Resources of Indonesia as a sustainable alternative energy to improving the competitiveness of the industry" as the focal theme of scientific papers. With this theme, the team was able to penetrate the Physics Engineering ITB to the grand final. At this stage, the finalists were asked to present her paper accompanied by a demonstration of a prototype device or system that is proposed in the paper. In addition to a team of Physics Engineering ITB, UGM team in this competition and the ITS team won the first and second place.
Mat IEPC 2014 February 2014 - May 2014 was also filled by some other event that is creative room, entertainment shows, innovation competition, students and community work degree. ITB student's participation in the IEPC 2014 is an event to provide a positive impact for the people of Indonesia. In addition, the team competition of Engineering Physics ITB expect this to be the beginning of a more intensive participation and to inspire young people across Indonesia to apply their field of study to public life.
