BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) will host its Third Graduation Ceremony for the Academic Year 2024/2025 at the Sasana Budaya Ganesa (Sabuga) Auditorium, from Friday to Sunday (August 29–31, 2025). Over the course of three days, a total of 2,649 students will officially graduate.
Dr. N. Nurlaela Arief, MBA., IAPR., ITB’s Director of Communication and Public Relations as well as Chair of the Graduation Committee, explained that this year’s ceremony will once again allow families to attend and witness their children’s achievements in person at Sabuga Auditorium.
“Graduation is not only a celebration for the students but also for the parents who have supported their children throughout their academic journey. ITB provides the opportunity for parents to directly witness the culmination of four years of dedication and hard work. This moment also reflects ITB’s appreciation for the value of family that accompanies every step of the educational process,” she said.
She added that the three-day schedule was necessary to accommodate the large number of participants. “Sabuga has a maximum capacity of about 3,000 people, while the number of graduates alone is 2,649. With parents, guests, and committee members included, attendance is expected to reach around 9,000 people. To ensure everyone can be accommodated, the graduation ceremonies will take place across three days, August 29–31, 2025,” she explained.
The ceremonies will be divided by faculty/school:
Friday, August 29, 2025: 812 graduates from the School of Life Sciences and Technology (SITH), School of Pharmacy (SF), Faculty of Art and Design (FSRD), Faculty of Earth Sciences and Technology (FITB), Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering (FTTM), and the School of Graduate Studies (SPS).
-
Saturday, August 30, 2025: 996 graduates from the School of Business and Management (SBM), School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics (STEI), and Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (FTMD).

The graduation will also be attended by several distinguished national and international figures, including: Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Chair of ITB’s Board of Trustees (MWA); Nugroho, President Director of Telkomsel; Rudy Mas'ud, Governor of East Kalimantan; Simon Aloysius Mantiri, President Director & CEO of Pertamina; Dr. Agung Wicaksono, M.Sc., MBA., Director of Transformation and Business Sustainability at Pertamina; Ihsanuddin Usman, Director of Human Resources at PT Bukit Asam; Dr. Ir. With thousands of graduates and families expected, ITB has coordinated with the Coblong Police Department, the Coblong District Military Command, and the Coblong Civil Service Police Unit to manage logistics and security. Anticipatory measures include shorter, more compact ceremonies, coordination with law enforcement and local authorities, and traffic management strategies to maintain smooth flow around the Sabuga area. Graduates and their families are also encouraged to arrive early and make use of public transportation, given the limited parking capacity.
With careful coordination and planning involving multiple stakeholders, ITB is committed to delivering an orderly, safe, and memorable graduation ceremony.
