ITB Welcomes Palestinian Ambassador and An Najah University: Expanding Partnerships in Education and Innovation

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id — Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) welcomed a visit from the Palestinian Ambassador and representatives of An Najah National University on Tuesday (January 14, 2025) in Rapim Room A, ITB Rectorate Building, Jalan Tamansari, Bandung. This meeting was a significant step in strengthening collaboration between the two institutions, particularly in education, innovation, and technology.

The event was attended by ITB Rector Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D.; Director of the Directorate of Education ITB Dr. Techn. Arief Hariyanto; Head of International Collaboration Affairs Section of ITB Partnership Bureau Andika Putra Pratama, MSM, Ph.D.; Head of International Networking and Visit Management Section of ITB Partnership Bureau Dr. Anindrya Nastiti, S.T., M.T.; and Head of International Collaboration Program Development Section of ITB Partnership Bureau apt. Zulfan Zazuli, S.Farm, M.Farm, Ph.D.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, H.E. Dr. Zuhair, S.M. AIShun, was accompanied by representatives from An Najah University, including Former Minister and Director of the Innovation Park at An Najah National University, Prof. Dr. Allam S.A. Mousa; and Former Head of the Accreditation Commission and Current Dean of Scientific Research at An Najah National University Prof. Dr. Waleed M.O. Sweileh.

In her speech, ITB Rector Prof. Reini expressed her appreciation for the visit from the Palestinian Ambassador and An Najah University. She also reaffirmed ITB’s commitment to maintaining an excellent academic environment.


“ITB has integrated science, technology, and art with Indonesian local wisdom, as well as being active in various international programs and cooperation,” said Prof. Reini.

One of them is the ITB International Inbound Exchange Program, which provides opportunities for students from around the world to explore global challenges and collaborate with ITB.

The discussion between the two parties resulted in several plans for collaboration, including student exchange programs, curriculum sharing, and collaboration in technology and innovation. This partnership is expected to not only strengthen bilateral relations between Indonesia and Palestine but also contribute positively to the advancement of global education.

This visit marks a promising first step in building a strategic relationship between ITB and An Najah National University. Both institutions are committed to continue working together to create a meaningful impact on education, innovation, and society at large.
