BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - ITB commemorated its 64th Dies Natalis at the West Hall on Saturday (4/3/2023). To share the spirit and enthusiasm of the event with everyone in ITB, both online and offline competitions were organized. These competitions include singing, stand-up comedy, cheering, photography, Tik Tok, Maumere Exercise, volleyball, futsal, handball, and a 5K marathon. There were 138 people and 59 teams that participated in the online competitions, while a total of 341 people and 83 teams joined the offline competitions.
The 64th Dies Natalis Celebration was led by Indra Herlambang, who was an alumnus of the Visual Arts study program in 1995. Its programs include the awarding ceremony for the competitions, door prize draws, as well as performances from Tendik and Nicho Benito (actor and singer, ITB AR '12 alumni).
The Vice Rector of Resources Dr. Ir. Gusti Ayu Putri Saptawati S., M.Comm. said that this event was hoped to establish fellowship between all the people and communities in ITB. "The main point of this celebration is not the prize, but the harmony we made along the way.”
For this event, ITB introduced the mascot "ROGA". Its name is taken from the words “Robot” and “Gajah” (elephant). While the robot signifies the technological aspect of ITB, the elephant represents ITB’s logo. Its color scheme is taken from the ITB logo as well, in which the blue color gives off a more modern and calm impression in addition to white and gray accents.
