Meeting Karya Salemba Empat, a Prominent Scholarship Provider
BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - Since two years ago, the Karya Salemba Empat (KSE) Foundation has officially became a prominent provider of scholarship in ITB. In their second year, KSE has helped 126 students in their education. At Saturday (11/13/10), students which are members of the foundation held a meeting to increase closeness between the donators and the students. Aside from that, a discussion on technology innovation was also a topic in the event.
Othen than the members of KSE, the event was also attended by students that have accepted KSE scholarship from other institutions such as Universtias Padjadjaran, Universitas Indonesia, Institut Pertanian Bogor, and Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember. As keynote speaker, present was NISP Bank President Director Pramukti Suryaudana, Indofood's Christian Purwanto Somali, KSE Board Director Mirza Adityaswara, and PT. Trikomsel Oke Tbk President Director Sugiono Wiyono Sugialam. These companies are KSE's sponsors.
In the talk event, the speakers shared their own experiences in the business world. All of them agreed that innovation is an important factor in surviving and climbing the ranks in the business arena.
Meanwhile, Sugiono shared advices on business chances the students could utilize. "What you need is only a little bit of twist of old products. Before you know it, you've created a new product," he elaborated.
He also claimed that a meeting such as this event is important to widen business networks in continuing life. "Just like KSE's motto, Sharind - Networking - Developing," he said.
