BANDUNG, itb.ac.id -  Indonesia is a big nation, consisted of hundreds of islands and numerous natural richness. From Sabang to Merauke, each of the islands had their own potential to grow. Along with the idea of inclusive development, it is obligatory that all regions were able to grow and cherish, far away from poverty. To accomplish that vision, all we need is the brightest idea combined with a perfect strategy.

Inclusive development was always been related to the idea of building physical infrastructure and massive investment  project to begin the development itself. Nonetheless, an interesting idea came from Gita, Icha, Andra, and Meutia. These Environment Engineering students were stealing the spotlight in the Project Magement Competition 2013 for their idea about "Voluntourism and Charity" for East Nusa Tenggara. The comppetition itself brought "Rasing Investment for Developing East Nusa Tenggara as a Gate of Eastern Indonesia" for the topic. By taking tourism as their sub-topic, this team brainstorm a well-thought strategy to develop tourism and also raise the investor interest in the region.

This team called themselves Fellow For East (FFE), and they believe that it is important to invest on the academic aspect of the local people. In other side, they also capture the needs of foreign student to undergo a chairty or social project before continuing their education to college. Realizing the beautiful landscape of natural richness of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) yet the lackness of skill for the local people, the team propose a project that invites volunteer all over the world to have a wonderful holiday in NTT's beach plus doing some charity work to help the locals. This benefits both the locals and the volunteer, because the locals will get the volunteer's help to study or increase their skills and on the other side the volunteer gets what the right kind of social program to fulfill the necessary pre-requisite to continue college.

This project target is the foreigner students, especially they who are in the gap year, indonesian varsity students, and also for the philantropist or adventurer tourists. FFE offer many kinds of program according to their target's needs. There are long term program for a year and also short-term program for 1-4 months. The variety of activities were also been offered, from helping in local hospital untill conserving nature. For further involvement, the volunteer can also do charity by investing on the locals education. The charity were done by donating a spesific amount of money for one children of NTT. So one volunteer is responsibel for the education for one children.
