Present at the RansVerse, SBM ITB Held the First “MetaBinar” in Indonesia

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – School of Business and Management Institut Teknologi Bandung (SBM ITB) held the first MetaBinar in Indonesia. That MetaBinar was held on RansVerse, the first metaverse in Indonesia which was built through the collaboration of RANS Entertainment, VCGamers, Meta Nuswantara – Shinta VR, and UpBanx.
The MetaBinar even which is a part of the Pre-Alpha Test of RansVerse was held at the ITB SBM Campus, Bandung on Friday 30 September 2022. The participants include SBM ITB students and VCG Token Holders who have login to the RansVerse application on their smartphones. Then, the participants can join the MetaBinar using an avatar that they have chosen.
The Director of Thegreaterhub SBM ITB, Dr. Dina Dellyana, said that the participants were selected to enter the "SBMVerse", a metaverse project from SBM ITB inside the RansVerse ecosystem.
"This is our first event, we are very excited and this is a test event for the development of one of our metaverse projects, 'SBMVerse', which we have just released earlier this year in the RansVerse ecosystem. We hope that this event can improve the experience and engagement of every event that we will hold in the future," he said in Bandung. The Co-Founder & Chairman of VCGamers, Wafa Taftazani, said that this Pre-Alpha test was also carried out to introduce the capability of RansVerse in the field of education to the public.
"After opening the access to RansVerse to the public for the first time in the BUMN Startup Day event, now we proudly introduce one of the use cases of RansVerse in education, by partnering with SBM ITB and Alpha JWC," he said.
Wafa stated that this Ransverse Pre-Alpha test will open its gate wide to the public to collect criticism and feedback. So that the development of RansVerse for educational uses can continue to be perfected.
"This is a form of our commitment to the Pre-Alpha Test of RansVerse to gather real feedback from the public and educational world. So that RansVerse can become the pride of Indonesia's metaverse which has been integrated with blockchain and can be used for productive things," he explained.
Similarly, RansVerse Product Manager from Meta Nuswantara – Shinta VR, Miftahul Bagus, added that currently Ransverse can be operated on three platforms, Windows, Android, and Oculus VR.
In addition to that, RansVerse has been equipped with some features to enhance the user experience. Some of those features are voice chat for user communication, gesture collaboration, sending emojis, and exploring the metaverse using a drone.
"And surely MetaBinar, where we can hold an educational event inside a metaverse world," he said. Bagus added, Shinta VR and VCGamers previously had carried out an internal Pre-Alpha Test for Ransverse by involving tenths of users at the same time.
"The result of the previous Pre-Alpha release met our expectations, we encountered no problem with its multiplayer feature. For the device minimum requirements, we are optimistic that RansVerse can reach more users in the future, because after we carried out a test in some mid-level devices, the performance was stable," he said.
Currently, Bagus continued, his party is continuously adding improvement on the operating system side. As information, this SBM ITB-held event was also attended by Alpha JWC Ventures, a venture capital company based in Jakarta. The representative from Alpha JWC Ventures was also present as a speaker at this event.
This Pre-Alpha test of Ransverse succeeded in fulfilling the schedule that has been composed in the VCGamers Roadmap.
