PSM ITB Shows Off in the Establishment of Indonesia as Host of Asian Games 2018

JAKARTA, itb.ac.id - As one of the art and cultural student activity units (UKM), Paduan Suara Mahasiswa (PSM) ITB often provides their marvelous appearance at various events. On Sunday (27/12/15), PSM-ITB performed at the Road to 18th Asian Games 2018 Jakarta-Palembang. A team of 40 personnels was a collaboration between PSM ITB and its alumni. The choir sang Indonesia Raya, Sports Patrior March, and Indonesian Traditional Songs Medley gracefully. The team was led by Dilla Anindita (System and Information Technology 2012), Anna Nathania Carissa Delicia (Environmental Engineering 2013), as well as Dimas Bimo Mahardika (Environmental Infrastructure Engineering 2013) as conductor.
This event was being held in order to establish Indonesia as the organizer of the Asian Games in 2018 to come. It was held at the South Plaza of Bung Karno Stadium and was attended by the Vice President of Republic of Indonesia Jusuf Kalla, Minister of Youth and Sports of the country Imam Nahrawi, South Sumatra Governor Alex Noerdin, Chairman of the Indonesia Olympic Committee (KOI) Erick Thohir, as well as the athletes. Being invited by the event organizers, PSM ITB shared the stage with professional dancer, such as Isa Raja, as well as music bands, and many other performers.

In collaborating with the State, PSM ITB have performed at the Anti-corruption Festival at Sabuga, Independence Day Concert at Jakarta's The Energy Building, and Cultural Concert in Klarisky, Bratislava, Slovakia that was witnessed by the Ambassador of Indonesia in Slovakia with his team. "Our hope is that PSM ITB and other various cultural unit of ITB will be increasingly supported by ITB. In addition, we also hope that our quality is getting better and promotes the choir throughout Indonesia," said Dilla Anindita as Chairman of PSM-ITB 2015.
