ITB and Universiti Brunei Darussalam Strengthen Collaboration in Education and Research

BRUNEI DARUSSALAM, itb.ac.id — A delegation from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), led by ITB Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Tatacipta Dirgantara, M.T., held meetings and discussions with the leadership of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) from August 10 to 12, 2026. The meetings were part of efforts to strengthen strategic cooperation between higher education institutions in Southeast Asia.

Both institutions expressed their commitment to expanding collaboration in education, research, and human resource development.

During the discussions, ITB and UBD explored various opportunities for cooperation, including the development of student exchange and staff exchange programs, as well as joint research collaborations.


These initiatives are expected to enhance student and staff mobility, expand international academic networks, and foster collaborative research between the two institutions.

ITB and UBD also explored potential research collaborations, particularly in the fields of biodiversity and environmental sciences.

Through this collaboration, ITB and UBD aim to generate innovations and scientific contributions that will benefit both the region and the global community.
