BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – In light of public attention and understanding regarding the policy on part-time work for students receiving Single Tuition Fee (UKT) scholarships at ITB, we would like to address the following points:
1. ITB fully adheres the regulation of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Permendikbudristek) Number 2 of 2024, which determines UKT groups based on students' economic conditions, particularly for those coming from an economically disadvantaged family background, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations;
2. ITB is developing a special Financial Aid System policy aimed at aligning with previous educational goals. This system seeks to support academically excellent students who demonstrate strong characteristics, adaptability, integrity, humility, and a robust work ethic;
3. The Financial Aid System is designed to integrate various existing resources and financial aid programs at ITB, including:
a. Single Tuition Fee (UKT) scholarships;
b. Grants;
c. Part-Time Work Program;
d. Partnerships;
e. Other forms of Financial Assistance;
f. Support services such as financial counseling (financial literacy), workshops, seminars, information and mobilization.
These options (a-f) are available to students based on applicable guidelines. These opportunities are also open to students beyond UKT scholarship recipients, providing them with opportunities to participate in ITB’s application of tridharma;
4. ITB's financial aid policy is grounded in a principle that goes beyond mere financial support; it encourages and educates students to be actively involved in both academic and academic-support activities. This approach ensures that scholarship recipients contribute positively to the academic environment at ITB in order to enhance their future experiences;
5. ITB remains committed to maintaining transparency in all policy decisions and ensuring these policies provide maximum benefit for all students. We are dedicated to continuously striving for excellence in supporting our students;
6. On this occasion, we encourage the public, students and parents, to stay updated through official ITB channels. Any constructive feedback from students and related stakeholders will be welcomed, in order to help address shortcomings and improve our services.
