Starting 2015, FTI ITB Held an Acoustic and Vibration Science Workshop

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id-Starting 2015, the Faculty of Industrial Technology ITB (FTI-ITB) held a workshop with the theme "Short Course on Acoustic and Vibration". The event took place on Monday-Tuesday (05-06 / 01/2015). The event will take place over two days presenting Prof. David Herrin, Ph.D., from University of Kentucky, USA as the main speaker
Events held by the Group of Technical Expertise Physics, Physics Engineering Program opened with a speech by Prof. Benjamin Soenarko chairman of the committee and followed by Dean FTI represented by the Vice Dean for Resources, Prof. Yazid Bindar Ph.D. It also marks the second speechc officially opened the workshop.

Prof. David Herrin, Ph.D., began the workshop with a discussion related to "Basic of Sounds and Noise", followed by a discussion of Vibro-Acoustic. This workshop is expected to broaden the development of Acoustics and Vibration Science for all workshop participants. Participants of this workshop is composed by lecturers and academic staffs in the FTI.

Glance Prof. David Herrin Ph.D is a young researcher from the University of Kentucky, USA, College of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering. The scope of the research of Prof. David is Acoustic Materials, Acoustics, mufflers and silencers, Structural Dynamics. He was with the team Vibro-Acoustic Group is currently examining the Applied Acoustics of "Airborne Path Attenuation of Partial Enclosures: Simulation and Sensitivity Study," and "Predicting Insertion Loss of the Large Duct Systems above the Plane Wave Cutoff Frequency ''.
