The Rector of ITB Discusses the Spirit of Collaboration and Enhancing Education Quality Through Technology at the Huawei Green Development Summit

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - The Rector of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D., was among the speakers at the Huawei Green Development Summit agenda held on Tuesday (27/2/2024) in Barcelona, Spain.
This event is part of the series of Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2024. MWC Barcelona is an annual event dedicated to the technology industry, particularly communications. According to the official website, this year's MWC is themed "Future First," emphasizing the significance of industry, technology, continents, and communities in driving future technological advancements.
For your information, the Huawei Green Development Summit serves as a platform for Huawei to collaborate with various partners, including those from industry and education sectors. This event also featured panelists from diverse scientific fields discussing technology, education, and the latest issues pertaining to sustainable development.
The rapid advancement of digital technology has transformed the world, enhancing efficiency and productivity across industries and the social sector. Nonetheless, the digital discrepancy persists, with many groups still lacking access to the benefits of digital technology.
ITB and Huawei have established a strong partnership in the field of information and communication technology. This collaboration extends to bridging the digital discrepancy and promoting sustainable development, with a particular focus on education, development, and environmental sustainability.
During this event, the Rector of ITB also presented a talk titled "Kartini's Spirit: Empowering Women in Education." In her presentation, she elaborated on Kartini's determination in advocating for women's rights and ensuring equal opportunities for women to access quality education and employment opportunities.
This aligns with the objectives of the Huawei Green Development Summit, which aims to promote equality and enhance the quality of education to cultivate better resources. Additionally, Huawei has implemented innovative connectivity technology to enhance the digital economy.
The aspiration is that this agenda will further foster the collaboration and partnership between ITB and Huawei, while simultaneously enhancing human resources (HR), fostering innovation and research, and improving the quality of education to be more responsive and adaptable to industry needs.
