Unlocking Global Markets: SBM ITB and Akselerasi.id Guide West Java MSMEs Through Coaching Clinic

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – Coaching Clinic by The Greater Hub SBM ITB and Akselerasi.id was held again to help the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) development program in West Java. This program has entered its 12th batch and received full support from the Deputy for Micro Enterprises of the Ministry of Cooperative and MSMEs (KemenKopUKM). Bringing the theme "Innovation Strategy and Business Development for MSMEs to Become a World Scale", this activity was held at the Nemangkawi Auditorium, Labtek XIX SBM ITB Building.
Opening his speech, the Dean of SBM ITB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ignatius Pulung Nurprasetio, M.SME., emphasized the importance of MSMEs in national economic growth. "MSMEs are the backbone of Indonesia's economy. Through this Coaching Clinic, we are trying to help many small businesses to be able to innovate and compete globally," he said.
This event was attended by hundreds of enthusiastic MSMEs owners. From 726 registered businesses, only 104 were selected to receive intensive training provided by around 30 professionals. This assistance was given out by SBM ITB’s academics and experienced entrepreneurs, aiming to increase participant’s business capacity.
Dr. Dina Dellyana, S.Farm., M.A.B., who serves as Chairperson of The Greater Hub SBM ITB, stated that this program was designed as a first step to prepare MSMEs owners towards a more advanced program from the Ministry of Cooperative and MSMEs. "We hope that more and more people can develop and adapt to the demands of the international market through this program," he said.
Meanwhile, the Deputy for Micro Enterprises of the Ministry of Cooperative and MSMEs, Dr. Yulius M.A., said that innovation is the key for businesses to stay competitive in this era of globalization. "This program acts as a critical momentum for MSMEs to innovate and adapt to technological developments," he stated.
TB Ari Wibawa Mukti, an innovation professional and entrepreneur, opened the session for this event with a presentation regarding the importance of innovation for business continuity. "Innovation is a crucial element for MSMEs to be able to survive and develop," he continued, providing relevant innovation and business development strategies for participants to compete at international level.
In addition, participants were given separate materials on market analysis, business strategies, and digital technology utilization. They were guided to understand the concepts of the global market, including market research, export strategies, and legal and cultural challenges within the international market.
By holding the 12th batch of Coaching Clinic, it is hoped that MSMEs in West Java will be more prepared to face global competition and be able to expand their market to an international scale.
