Visual Communication Design ITB held a Workshop on Film-Making

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – ITB is well-known as a university science, technology, and arts simultaneously in harmony. Arts Development in various sectors intensifies, including in films. Taking that into account, Visual Communication Design Study Program of ITB held a workshop on filmmaking themed “Creativepreneur, how to develop an idea into a real project” with Nightbus Picture and Kaninga Picture on Monday (03/04/17). Held in Seminar Room FSRD ITB, the event invited several speakers, namely Darius Sinatria (film producer and actor), Emil Heradi (film director), and Rifnu Wikana (film producer). Several production team members of Night Bus film also attended the workshop.
The Workshop was open to public and commenced with a presentation by Darius on creativepreneur. He described the process of filmmaking; from pre-production to post-production process. The materials discussed in the session cover creative insight in Indonesian films. He also delivered a topic on film funding and the creative process that turns idea into profitable work. “Innovation is making ideas that have never been created before!” said Darius.
The following session was presented by Emil and Rifnu as the director and producer of Night Bus film. The session contained the theories of creative insight and filmmaking process. Moreover, Q&A session was also held between the producer of Night Bus film and the participants that were mostly the student of DKV 2015.
