BANDUNG, itb.ac.id--A total of 22,083 participants will take the Computer-Based Writing Examination (UTBK) at the Bandung Institute of Technology as a requisite to be accepted into state owned universities through SBMPTN. UTBK will take place from 17-23 May 2022 for the first batch and 28 May-3 June 2022 for the second batch. The number of participants consists of 21,313 participants from the Sci-tech/Soc-hum exam type and 770 participants from the Mixed exam type.
ITB UTBK 2022 Coordinator Achmad Rochliadi, MS., Ph.D., said that the distribution of exam locations for the ITB UTBK exam will take place in 7 locations: ITB Ganesha Campus, SMAN 1 Bandung, SMAN 2 Bandung, SMAN 3 Bandung, SMAN 4 Bandung, SMAN 5 Bandung, and SMKN 2 Bandung. In order to accommodate the participants, the committee prepared 1,155 computers per session with an average of 2 sessions per day. "All participants will use PCs," said the ITB UTBK coordinator.
The UTBK ITB procedure will still implement strict health protocols. The committee will adjust the number of participants with the rooms’ capacity using simulations; there are rooms with a capacity of 10, 15, 20, 30, and 40 participants. “Each examination day has 2 sessions for Sci-tech and Soc-hum, and also 1 session for Mixed,” he explains.
As a requirement to be able to partake in UTBK ITB, several rules must be paid attention to by each participant.
In order to partake in the UTBK examination, prospective examinees must have already registered and received an exam card. The process follows the procedures set by the LTMPT.
The requirements for taking the exam are as follows:
1. Bring the exam card.
2. Diplomas for 2021 and 2020 graduates or grade 12 certificates from schools that at least contain identification information and the latest color photo with the principal's signature and stamp.
3. Identity card (KTP/SIM/Passport).
4. Be in good health.
5. Arrive 1 hour before the scheduled exam.
Regarding the requirement for booster vaccines, he emphasized that there was going to be no such requirement. However, it is of most importance that the participants take the exam in good health.
Participants would not need to see the exam room on D-1, and would only need to know the exam location since they will first enter/be collected in a transit room for a health inspection (temperature check) and then be escorted to the exam room by a special team. If there are participants who use wheelchairs/canes, they can contact the secretariat. Participants should not bring their own vehicles since the committee will not provide a parking space.
