Arts and Achievements Appreciation Night to Appreciate Donors of Endowment Fund Program ITB

JAKARTA, itb.ac.id — Gala Dinner “Arts and Achievements Appreciation Night” held by Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), the Body of Business Management and Endowment Fund (BBMEF) ITB, the Faculty of Arts and Design (FAD) ITB, and Salam Ganesha, Sunday (5/11/2023) at Soehanna Hall, The Energy Building, SCBD, South Jakarta. The event was intended to appreciate every donor who have participated in the Endowment Fund Program ITB.

The occasion was attended by a number of ITB alumni, such as Achmad Zacky (ITB’04), Nyoman Nuarta (ITB’72), as well as a few young alumni, such as Febi Agil Ifdillah and Lintang Kusuma Pratiwi (ITB’14), who were listed on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2023 list. Moreover, there were 19 artists who are FAD ITB alumni from the 1990s to the 2010s whose every artwork was auctioned to contribute to the ITB Endowment Fund.

In said opportunity, ITB delivered appreciation towards the alumni who contributed to ITB's prestige, each in their own field. Awards were given to Gibran Huzaifah (CEO eFishery, ITB '07) as well as Febi Agil Ifdillah and Lintang Kusuma Pratiwi (Co-Founder Elevarm, ITB’14).

ITB’s Rector, Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D., expressed, “We are here to support the development of ITB from here onwards. For 103 years, ITB has withstood many changes and delivered many impacts.” She also emphasized, Endowment Fund Program ITB is not merely about ITB’s endowment fund, but also a platform for alumni to contribute towards their alma mater.

Through the event, a number of donators committed themselves in supporting the ITB Endowment Fund with a total of Rp 15 trillion. Moreover, as many as 32 paintings were successfully auctioned to participate in the ITB Endowment Fund. Currently, ITB Endowment Fund is managed by BBMEF ITB and used to support ITB’s development. There are many forms of its usage, including scholarship for ITB students, ITB infrastructure construction, and many other aid programs.

Many alumni expressed their support towards the ‘give back to alma meter’ program to support the success of ITB Endowment Fund. In the future, hopefully many more alumni and stakeholders will participate as well in an effort to support their beloved alma mater.
