Collaboration Between ITB and PT KAI to Improve Human Resources Development

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id— ITB established a partnership with PT KAI in hopes of expanding their research and development on science and education as well as training of human resources on Wednesday (17/5/2023).

The cooperation agreement was signed by ITB Rector Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D., and the Chief Director of PT KAI Didiek Hartantyo at Meeting Room A of the ITB Rectorate Building.

Didiek stated that this collaboration could propel PT KAI to create reliable human resources as the their primary customer service asset. “The development of human resources is the solution to the challenges we encounter in this dynamic era. We want to build qualified and reliable talents to face the ever-growing challenges.”

Prof. Reini expressed her gratitude to PT KAI for their trust in ITB. As an academic institution, ITB is committed to supporting PT KAI's efforts in human resource development by providing education and training opportunities for its employees. In addition, the cooperation includes a 10% discount on train fares for ITB staff and lecturers.

Prof. Reini added that ITB has study programs relevant to the transformation needs at PT KAI, not only in terms of technology but also in its design, visual communication, and crafts under ITB FAD (Faculty of Art and Design).
