Digitalization of Financial Services, ITB and Bank Mandiri Strengthen Cooperation

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id—The Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) cooperates with Bank Mandiri in digital-based banking services to strengthen financial management at ITB. This collaboration is expected to facilitate ITB in monitoring activities and making financial decisions during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The signing of the Minutes of Handover (BAST) for the Digital Financial Platform service was conducted online on Wednesday (4/8/2021) by Bank Mandiri SVP Government and Institutional I, Dadang Ramadhan P and Deputy Chancellor II of the Bandung Institute of Technology, Ir. Muhammad Abduh, Ph.D.

"Through this synergy, we hope to become the main financial partner of choice for customers with the best innovations in digital financial services and products so that they can grow and rise together," said Dadang as quoted in a release received by Public Relations ITB.

Dadang said that his party hopes that this Digital Financial Platform service will improve good corporate governance, optimize the efficient use of ITB's financial resources, and support various activities of the academic community at ITB.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Abduh explained that the innovation of integrated digital-based banking services entitled Mandiri Master Campus helped ITB implement the work programs that had been set.

"In the ITB STATUTE, the Rector does have a function for integrated financial management. The digital-based system is expected to help the operational and investment processes at ITB from planning to monitoring become easier and more transparent," he explained. He added that later the services provided could continue to develop according to the needs and provide added value for each party.

Meanwhile, SVP Transaction Banking Wholesale Bank Mandiri, Tri Nugroho added that the synergy also includes agreements related to technology development and efforts to accelerate, maintain security, and create added value.

"In principle, we will support developments to facilitate reconciliation of receipts, simplify payments made, and manage liquidity," said Tri.

This collaboration will complement several solutions and services that are already running at ITB. Among them are Mandiri Bill Collection (MBC) Host to Host solutions for payment of tuition fees, Mandiri Cash Management (MCM), ID Card e-money Co-Branding, Host to Host Payment, Mandiri Smart Account (MSA), provision of EDC, and branch offices. And ATMs in the ITB campus environment.
