Encouraging the Students to be Entrepreneur, ITB Chemistry Program Held Entrepreneurship Seminar

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – Taking place at Room 2104 Gedung Kimia ITB, Chemistry Program of ITB held Seminar Kimia dan Masyarakat that carry the theme “How to Become Entrepreneur”. Held on Wednesday (31/03/17), the seminar aimed to encourage students of ITB, especially those of Chemistry Program to give understanding on the broad application of knowledge and prospect of chemistry graduates, and one of them is entrepreneurship.
Ibnu Ubaidillah (Chemistry 2006), the mentor of Students Creativity Week (PKM) team of ITB delivered his presentation. Ibnu told a story about his entrepreneurship experience that he started since his university years. He has done various businesses, from clothing business, culinary, to school consultant. In initiating a business, he innovates by looking at problems around and looking for the solution.
Ibnu also explained that ITB provide platforms for students interested in entrepreneurship, namely Program Mahasiswa Wirausaha (PMW). PMW Program will provide funding for students that initiate business from scratch or in the stage of business development. There is also Technopreneurship Orientation Program (TOP) held by Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of ITB (LPIK). The program aims to provide training for students who want to initiate technology based start-up. These programs are in line with the vision of the Rector of ITB to build ITB toward Entrepreneurial University.
Ibnu ended the seminar with a brief explanation. He revealed that the key to be an entrepreneur is to do the utmost and keep praying. Ibnu convinced the participants that business success will easily come with utmost effort and prayers.
