Farmadays 2011: Challenging Counseling Skills Through PCE Competition 2011

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - ITB's Pharmaceutical Students Association (Himpunan Mahasiswa Farmasi "Ars Praeparandi" ITB) held another Patient Counseling Event-a prestigious, nationwide counseling competition, part of their Farmadays 2011 program-inviting students from various pharmacy schools to participate. They have to go through preliminary rounds, semifinals, and finals where five participants from each categories-beginner and advanced, competed to win the first place.

Preliminary round was held at TVST building ITB, where participants must counsel a number of actors and actresses accordingly to each scenarios. Those who made it through this round proceed to the semifinals where, again, their counseling skills are tested. Five of the best were competing in the final round, which was held at Campus Center on Sunday (20/11/2011)

Best Participants

After a thorough and rigorous scoring, the judges announced that students from Universitas Sanata Dharma, Yogyakarta, won the winner title for the Beginner Category, as well as the first runner up, while UGM won the third place. Similarly, for the Advanced Category, Universitas Sanata Darma won the first and second place, while the third place went to Universitas Indonesia.


Besides the Dean of ITB's School of Pharmacy Cup, other prizes include a voucher worth Rp. 2.000,000,00 to compete in the International Patients Counseling Event in the 58th IPSF World Congress 2011 in Egypt.
