The exhibition was opened by Anwar Bagus as the Head of Industrial Design Major. After the opening, the show continued with seminar titled "Collaboration in Creation" at East Campus Center Auditorium. This seminar's purpose was to spread the idea that design is needed everywhere and anywhere. This thoughts was supported by the speaker from Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering that explained how design are also crucial in making airplanes.

The annual exhibition was organized by Industrial Design Student Society (INDDES) and had a goal to introduce industrial design to ITB sudents and public society. This year themes was to spotlight how design canbe implemented in most of other sciences. That point was proven by many creation that were created in collaboration with other major students, such as students of SITH ITB.

From shoes, bags, until various scentific breakthrough were all there inside the exhibition. "We visited many major in ITB to see their own technology and try to re-invent it with our own idea," recounted Rizqi Arfiyanto (Industrial Design '09) as the Head of Desain Produk Berkarya 2013 Exhibition. He hoped that after this event, the knowledge about industrial design has been increased and their product would be easily accepted among society.
