ITB along with Universities in Austria Organized a Scientific Workshop

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - On Thursday (29/10/15), housed in the Indonesian Corner room of ITB Library, several universities in Austria working in collaboration with ITB organizes a meeting of science in order to harmonize and exchange knowledge. The event entitled "Joint Scientific Workshop ITB-Austrian Universities (ASEA-UNINET) 2015" organized in order to commemorate the 650th Anniversary of the University of Vienna and 200th Anniversary of Vienna University of Technology. In addition, this event becomes the initial preparation of the 100th Anniversary of ITB.

"The event became a science exchange and discuss event between researchers in their own field. This event also being an event  of familiarity between lecturers who are involved, "said Vice Rector or of Resources and Organizations (WRSO) ITB, Prof. Dr. Irawati, MS, in the opening of the event. Andreas Karabaczek, Austria's Ambassador for Indonesia who attended too, stating that, this event is a suitable idea applied in harmonizing of knowledge. "I am very enthusiastic when knowing the event was held. In addition, this event becomes the event of the education publication in Austria to the civitas academica of ITB, especially students who wish to continue their education there, "said Andreas Karabaczek in the interview session.

In this workshop, some of the speakers who delivered their research are representative or an Ambassador from Vienna University of Technology, Prof. A. Min Tjoa; Dr. Gabriele Weichart from University of Vienna; Dr. Ulrike Herbig of Vienna University of Technology; Dr. Kania Dewi, S.T., M, t. of FTSL (Faculty of Civil and Environment Engineering) ITB; Dr. Ing. Hanan Himasari, MAE from SAPPK (School of Architecture and Policy Development Planning) ITB; Prof. Ing. Mag. Dr. Thomas Hofer from the University of Innsbruck; and other.


 In the last session, Prof. A. Min Tjoa participated and delivered a brief prolog about the study in Austria. "I'm very proud of students who wish to continue their education and continue to work hard to gain a concept of science. Through this event also delivered education layout in Austria in terms of providing an overview to the civitas academica of ITB, "added Prof. A. Min Tjoa when interviewed about education.
