BANDUNG, itb.ac.id- On Saturday, April 16, 2021, ITB alumnus Gatot Sudariyono (Mechanical Engineering batch 1980) visited the Agency for University Endowment Fund and Business Management (BPUDL) Office at the Villa Merah building. Gatot, the founder of the ITB Ultra Marathon Program, was warmly welcomed by the BPUDL secretary, Dr. Ahmad Faizal, S.Si., M.Si.

The meeting was held to follow up on Gatot's donation pledge in funding tuition fees for ITB students and to sign a Donation Agreement in Swadaya Kesma 2021, a program initiated by the ITB Student Board (KM ITB). He made a conditional donation amount of IDR 360,000,000 via BPUDL. This fund will be channeled for student tuition fees through the ITB Directorate of Student Affairs.

Gatot managed his fundraising program by organizing a running project using a crowdfunding platform. Initially, Gatot aimed to help parents affected by the Covid-19 pandemic but still had to provide school or tuition fees for their children.

During the meeting, Gatot also proposed another opportunity for collaboration with BPUDL. As an 'Enthusiast Runner' he would like to create a new running project entitled "run to care". Its mission and passion were to inspire people to run for their health and, at the same time, to create charity events that can benefit others.
