This collaboration was marked by the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ITB and NMIT at Room Rapim A, ITB Rectorate Building, Wednesday (27/09/2023).

The signing was conducted by Vice President for Academic Affairs of NMIT, Dr. Michael Jackson, along with ITB Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Dr. Ir. Jaka Sembiring, M.Eng. NMIT and ITB will conduct various joint programs, including student exchange, scholarship, teaching staff exchange (lecturer, staff, and researcher), and research collaboration among academic staff.

The collaboration between the two institutions has been understood and agreed upon by both parties. Several joint activities outlined in the MoU adhere to the principles of equality and mutual trust. The MoU is valid for five years from the date of signing. "There's no point in having an MoU without taking action," Prof. Jaka said.

The MoU signing is intended to protect the activities of both institutions in the future. ITB is ready to collaborate and contribute to the betterment of both institutions. Prof. Jaka also mentioned that ITB has offered simple yet implementable programs for the benefit of numerous parties.

Dr. Michael Jackson expressed the same commitment, stating that NMIT will continue to maintain the quality of collaboration with ITB. NMIT has also prepared various simple and beneficial programs, especially for NMIT and ITB students.

Dr. Michael expressed his appreciation upon the collaboration with ITB. NMIT is now expanding its reach by fostering relations and collaborations with global institutions and industries. Dr. Michael and the NMIT delegations are looking forward to upcoming collaborations with ITB.

Prof. Jaka expects that this collaboration will maintain and enhance education between both institutions as well as bilateral relations. In addition, the quality of education in Indonesia, especially at ITB will be improved, specifically in the field of engineering, and the graduates can contribute to the nation. "I hope this MoU will not end in just five years but will be a long-term partnership," Prof. Jaka added.

ITB also hopes that this collaboration will be a pathway for global expansion. Starting with educational collaboration, ITB is eager to contribute to the improvement of education, industry, and research on a global scale.
