ITB Graduates 2,688 Students at the 2022 ITB October Graduation Ceremony

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id--Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) held their October Graduation Ceremony for postgraduate and undergraduate programs in Sasana Budaya Ganesha (Sabuga) Building, on Saturday, October 22, 2022.
At this October Graduation, ITB graduated 2,688 students consisting of 1,774 graduates from the undergraduate program, 885 graduates from the master’s program, and 29 graduates from the doctoral program.
The highest GPA for the undergraduate program were achieved by three graduates; Aletha Shahisa from the SBM Undergraduate Program in Management with a 3.98 GPA, Vinka Amalia Hasta Barata from the SBM Undergraduate Program in Management with a 3.98 GPA, and Tiara Millania from the SBM Undergraduate Program in Management with a 3.98 GPA.
The youngest graduate of the undergraduate program was Prama Pradipta Andrisi from FIT who graduated at the age of 19 years and 9 months. Furthermore, the youngest graduate of the master's program was Sam Maykel from FMAE who graduated at the age of 21 years and 4 months, and the youngest graduate of the Doctoral Program was Moh. Mu`alliful Ilmi from FMNS with the age of 26 years and 1 month.
As the second offline graduation since the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia, ITB implemented several preventive measures for the spread of COVID-19 in this event, including implementing strict health protocols and requiring 3 vaccine doses for graduates who wish to attend the offline graduations.
However, graduates who were unable to attend in person as well as parents and families of graduates were still able to follow the graduation procession online through the Institut Teknologi Bandung's YouTube channel and the Zoom platform.
The session began with the reading of the ITB Rector’s Decree which was read by Vice Rector for Research and Innovation Prof. Ir. I Gede Wenten, M.Sc., Ph.D. representing the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs. It was said that 717 graduates from the bachelor’s program, 302 from the master’s programs, and 12 from the doctoral programs have achieved cumlaude.
Next, the 12 Deans of ITB Faculties/Schools gave an introductory speech then Prof. Reini got back to congratulate each Faculty/School graduate in turn. The representative graduate farewell speech was presented by FMNS ITB Doctoral Program in Physics graduate Fitri Aulia Permatasari.
Rector Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D. closed the procession of the Graduation Ceremony. She congratulated and wished success upon the knowledge and degree achieved. She also did not forget to convey that ITB graduates have a role and duty as ambassadors in spreading the Excellent Research Culture values in ITB.
