ITB's Dongskar Pedongi Won IEEEXtreme 6.0 Global Programming Competition 2012

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - Three students from Informatics Engineering major, School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, ITB, joined together as the Dongskar Pedongi team, managed to defeat 1940 team from around the world and grabbed the champion title of IEEExtreme 24-hour Programming Competition. This team consist of Ronny Kaluge (Informatics Engineering 2008), Irvan Jahja (Informatics Engineering 2009), and Christianto Handojo (Informatics Engineering 2010). Another team from ITB also participate in this competition, with Reinhard Dennis (Informatics Engineering 2009), Edwin Lunando (Informatics Engineering 2009), and Jordan Fernando (Informatics Engineering 2010) as its member.
IEEExtreme 24-hour Programming Competition is an international programming competition between students from universities around the world which is held by Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Every university sent three-person team. These teams will compete to solve programming problems for 24 hours. This year's competition is held for its sixth time.

Dongskar Pedongi became the first winner after defeating another 1940 teams. For this victory, Dongskar Pedongi gained the right to participate on an IEEE's conference anywhere on the world and all accomodation will be sponsored by IEEE. The second and third place were Los Desempleados from Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria, Peru, and Meeyo from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. Both team were granted netbook as the prize. This is a great achievement from ITB's student. Congratulations for Dongskar Pedongi and may this victory bring many more further achievement in international, as well as in national competition.
