ITB Online E-Procurement Bidding Room Launch

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id- ITB is now the first varsity in West Java that has the ability to facilitate the provision of materials and services electronically (e-procurement). Electronic Provision Service (LPE-ITB) facilitates e-procurement by providing bidding rooms for potential customers. Rector Prof. Akhmaloka formally launches the facility in an event participated by LPE-ITB Logistics Director Dr. Ir. Muhamad Abduh and E-Procurement Director of the Governmental Office for Materials and Services Provision Ir. Ikak Gayuh Patriastomo.

The bidding room consists of 14 rooms, where each is equipped with one unit of personal computer, scanner, and printer. The rooms are also equipped with CCTV cameras ensure security. The conducts of the bid are strictly regulated, such as the maximum duration of each bidding session and the blocking of certain sites in the PCs (so that the potential customers use the PCs for bidding purposes only).

In his speech, Akhmaloka stated how the bidding room can also be utilized by the general society. It can also be used for learning purposes, particularly for students learning supply chain management. Ikak stated that the establishment of bidding rooms is an important government agenda, which is the improvement of national supply chain systems.
