BANDUNG, itb.ac.id – To celebrate the 78th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, the Directorate of Facilities and Infrastructure at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) conducted an evaluation and appreciation of Good Housekeeping among ITB's work units.
This event reflects on ITB's commitment to implement the sustainable and green campus concept. With this concept, the university aims to create an environmentally friendly campus that enhances resource efficiency, supports sustainability principles, and acts as an education towards the academic community to learn about proper environmental management.
The evaluation criteria include two main components, which are:
- The efforts in managing the cleanliness, neatness, and the beauty of the environment, encompassing indoor and outdoor areas, as well as the surroundings of the work area.
- The efforts in educating the importance of implementing sustainable and green campus concepts, including garbage sorting, water and electricity conservation, paper minimization, waste recycling, and the use of renewable energy. This also includes aspects related to budgeting, organizational management, and internal regulatory measures.
There were nine academic activity units (UKA) and eight supporting activity units (UKP) that participated in this event. The evaluation began with the preparation of a comprehensive report including descriptions and the pictures evidence based on the activity assessment parameters, which was conducted from August 1 to August 11, 2023. The next step was a judgment phase which included a ground verification on August 12 to August 15, 2023. The winners of this event were announced on August 17, 2023.
Following the evaluation and scoring based on both ground verification and portfolio assessment, here are the lists of the winners in the Good Housekeeping category for both UKA and UKP.
