The Open House was opened by a welcome statement from the ITB Rector, Prof. Reini Wirahadikusumah, Ph.D. On the occasion, the Rector stated that ITB is a place to hone your skill, gain fantastic academic experience, and develop broad career choices.

The introduction of ITB international partnership was conveyed by the representation of Bureau of Partnership ITB, Andika Putra Pratama, Ph.D. He explained that the international program in ITB has two mechanisms, the international track, and the international class. Both mechanisms can be entered by foreign and domestic students. The international track uses both English and Indonesian in its teaching process, while the international class is fully done in English.
He added that ITB has signed a partnership with multiple countries in the world. Some of its partner universities are even among the best in the world. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has disturbed the previously planned visits to some universities abroad.
During the occasion, Andika explained that the undergraduate students of the international program are required to join the outbound exchange program for at least one semester abroad. However, the students from the regular program can also apply to join this outbound exchange. According to Andika, there are three categories of the student exchange program in ITB, the Regular Application, the GE3 Application, and the Indonesian International Student Mobility Award (IISMA). The students who are admitted into the IISMA program will be sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
