ITB Signs MoU with General Electric for Executive University Program

BANDUNG, itb.ac.id - ITB and General Electric (GE) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to conduct collaboration in Executive University Program. This signature was held on Tuesday (18/07/13) and took place at Kampus Ganesha ITB. ITB was represented by Akhmaloka as The Rector of ITB, while Handry Santriago as CEO and President of GE Indonesia represented GE.

In Executive University Program, GE and ITB will collaborate in students' mentoring, leadership development, ITB's graduate recruitment, and research in technology. The program is part of GE's commitment in developing human resources and Indonesia's future leadership. Executive University Program will also give chances for ITB students to interact with GE and GE Leader itself by leadership and technical workshop, mentoring, the preparation of thesis, internship opportunity, and after graduate students' recruitment. Akhmaloka agrees that this program is a visionary collaboration.

Akhmaloka also states that as one of Indonesia's top university, ITB always seeks for opportunity to partnering with various companies. ITB is always looking forward to partnering with companies who can give chances to students to get involved and observe various new technologies directly, and training in leadership and management. "Together with GE, we can help our students to develop innovative thinking, develop creativity, and leadership skills, which are important to push innovation in Indonesia," explained Akhmaloka.

ITB is the first university in Indonesia collaborates with GE in Executive University Program. In addition to ITB, this program is also joined by National University of Singapore (NUS) in Singapore and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS in Malaysia. "In Indonesia, GE commits to present the newest technologies and build competent human resources for the future of this country," said Handry Santriago.
