JATINANGOR, itb.ac.id - A number of students from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) Kampus Jatinangor have conveyed their excitement regarding the forthcoming ITB Jatifest 2023. A number of individuals have already completed their registration to take part in the various activities being organized for the event.

The ITB Jatinangor Festival 2023 is scheduled to take place at ITB Jatinangor Campus, located at Jl. Let. Jen. Purn. Dr. (HC) Mashudi No. 1, Jatinangor, Kabupaten Sumedang, Jawa Barat, on Saturday, September 2, 2023.

The purpose of the event is to familiarize faculty, students, staff, alumni, and their families with ITB Jatinangor Campus.

The ITB Jatifest 2023 event is the final part of the welcoming activities for the Preparatory Joint Phase (TPB) students for the 2023 Academic Year. It provides valuable information about student life on campus.

Hanna Putri Mallory, a student in the Infrastructure Environmental Engineering program, conveyed her excitement for the event. She has already completed the registration process and is excited about attending. "I will be in attendance and I have already completed the registration process," she stated on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.

Hanna has observed a shift in the campus environment since the commencement of the TPB student welcome events, which were held at ITB Jatinangor Campus. The campus has experienced an increase in activity and has gained greater recognition among a wider audience.

Hanna is pleased with the numerous large-scale events taking place at ITB Jatinangor Campus, including ITB Jatifest 2023. According to her, this has attracted the interest of numerous individuals to visit the campus, which spans an area of approximately 47 hectares.

"Perhaps in the past, friends from ITB Ganesha Campus were unaware of what was happening at ITB Jatinangor Campus. Now, with large-scale events taking place in Jatinangor, it has attracted a lot of attention from students at other ITB campuses," she said.

Rifki Hasbi Ash Shiddiq, a student of Infrastructure Environmental Engineering, expressed a favorable response to the ITB Jatinangor Festival 2023. He is of the opinion that the event has the potential to showcase the diverse range of ITB to a wider audience through its innovative activities.

"With the presence of ITB Jatifest 2023, it shows that we are not only associated with academics; we also have creative festivals," he said.

Both Hanna and Rifki are optimistic that Jatifest will pave the way for the organization of more significant events at ITB Kampus Jatinangor.

The theme of ITB Jatifest 2023 is "Promoting a Sustainable Future through Green Culture." This theme is evident in a range of activities that contribute to the academic community at ITB Jatinangor. These activities focus on personal growth, environmental conservation, and readiness for upcoming challenges.

The event will showcase a variety of activities that promote sustainability, including a Fun Run, Campus Tour Game, Student Group Performances, Video Mapping, Exhibitions by Student Activity Units, and a Students' Fashion Show.

The logo for ITB Jatifest 2023, titled "Green Culture for a Better Future," was designed by Bima Nurin Aulan, a faculty member in ITB's Visual Communication Design program.

Bima provided an explanation that the logo includes six key elements and three primary color combinations. Firstly, "ITB" is an abbreviation for the organizing institution, which is the Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). Furthermore, an exuberant human silhouette takes shape in the form of the letter "A." Furthermore, the letter "T" has been artistically designed to resemble a tree, serving as a representation of the event's overarching theme of "Green & Sustainability." Additionally, the letter "I" is depicted as the Loji Tower, a prominent architectural feature of ITB Jatinangor. In addition, the presence of six stripes represents BAKKTI, a required skill for both ITB faculty and staff members. Additionally, the term "2023" denotes the specific year in which the Jatifest event will take place.

The colors utilized in the logo of ITB Jatifest 2023 also convey significant symbolism. The color blue, which symbolizes the ITB, represents intelligence. The color green is commonly associated with sustainability, while the color orange is often used to symbolize passion.

In light of this concept, the organizers kindly request attendees to prioritize environmental awareness by refraining from littering and bringing their own water bottles to the event. For additional details, please visit the official Instagram account @itb.jatifest.
